As the coastal town of Antonio Bay, California, is about to celebrate its centennial, a mysterious fog rolls in, bringing with it vengeful ghosts of mariners. Various characters around the town attempt to survive the night and uncover the dark secrets of the town's past. John Carpenter's follow-up to the smash hit of Halloween is another short and effective but less memorable horror movie. It features another lovely synth soundtrack by Carpenter. Rupert Wainwright directed a remake in 2005.
