Liz and Malcolm travel to his remote cabin to celebrate their one-year anniversary. Almost immediately, Liz begins to experience terrifying visions about women in agony, and things get worse when Malcolm has to leave her alone. Like The Monkey, Osgood Perkins' other 2025 film, this is a derivative and uninspired horror movie. This one is not based on a Stephen King work, but it still manages to roll out every imaginable cliché from supernatural horror films set in a cabin in the woods. Tatiana Maslany gives a decent performance, but I find it hard to believe that Rossif Sutherland is a professional actor, despite his esteemed heritage.
