Sasha, an adrenaline junkie recovering from her husband's tragic death, travels to a remote part of Australia for a solitary kayaking trip, but her isolated journey quickly turns into a brutal fight for survival. Baltasar Kormákur's watchable action thriller starts like Cliffhanger and unfolds as a blend of The River Wild and Deliverance. The screenplay by Jeremy Robbins is cliché-filled and forgettably derivative. The over-the-top villain, however, is more original, although his motives are ultimately laughable.
