Fabienne, a celebrated French actress, is publishing her memoirs. Hirokazu Kore-eda’s first film set outside Japan offers an intriguing yet surprisingly underwhelming exploration of the fluidity of truth and memory. Catherine Deneuve and Juliette Binoche give reliably great performances.
