College student Stefani is haunted by a nightmare of a deadly tower collapse — the same premonition her grandmother Iris once had and used to prevent a tragedy. Iris went into isolation to protect her family, but now Death is coming for the descendants of those who survived. This is the sixth installment in the Final Destination series, arriving 14 years after the last one. The opening tower scene is suspenseful, entertaining, and wonderfully over-the-top. Everything that follows feels formulaic, predictable, and ultimately dull. There is nothing you can do to cheat Death - even if, for a moment, you think you can. This franchise is known for its grisly and inventive death sequences, and in that sense, the latest film delivers.
