At the end of WW2, a German deserter and a rebellious farmer team up against a Waffen‑SS platoon who have arrived in the nearby village to find hidden gold seized from a Jew. Like Inglourious Basterds and Sisu, this German war movie embraces Spaghetti Western aesthetics. There is nothing thought-provoking on offer, merely a WW2 era action fest. The end result is quite entertaining, although many of the characters are susceptible to stupidity, especially during gunfire.
