While his wife and son are on holiday, a man becomes hopelessly attracted to the beautiful tenant upstairs. Billy Wilder's stagy and male-centric comedy on temptation and potential adultery hasn't aged terribly well. The film is an adaptation of George Axelrod's 1952 play, and therefore almost entirely set in one room. Tom Ewell reprises his stage role and Marilyn Monroe stands over the subway grate in the iconic shot.
