In 2019 Los Angeles, former cop Rick Deckard is assigned to track down and eliminate a group of runaway androids known as replicants, who in turn attempt to find a way to extend their preset lifespan. Ridley Scott's science fiction drama has become highly influential thanks to its intriguing story, impressive worldbuilding, spectacular visuals, and haunting soundtrack by Vangelis. This is a cerebral but slightly cold film. Based on Philip K. Dick's 1968 Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?. There are several different cuts in circulation, with and without narration. Followed by Blade Runner 2049 35 years later.
