The Pixar Studios continuosly push the envelope as far as technology and storytelling are concerned, but this is by far their boldest animation yet. The stunning and practically dialogue-free first half introduces us to Wall-E, a waste disposal robot who is a lonely presence on abandoned planet Earth. In the second half our hero ends up on board a space ship where the remains of humanity reside, and the quality drops a bit.
