The famous Pink Panther diamond is stolen again, and all clues point to Sir Charles Litton (aka The Phantom), first seen in The Pink Panther. The bumbling Inspector Jacques Clouseau is assigned to investigate the case. Eleven years after A Shot in the Dark, Peter Sellers returns as Clouseau and delivers solid comedy gold in numerous set pieces, but unfortunately much of the surrounding film feels slow and tired. The series continues in The Pink Panther Strikes Again.
