Woody Allen's funny and charming comedy drama traces the lives of three sisters - Hannah, Lee, and Holly - over the course of two years. The steady and selfless Hannah is unaware that her husband has fallen in love with Lee, while the aimless Holly attempts to find her real calling. Allen's wonderful Oscar winning screenplay deals with love, betrayal, family dynamics, art, religion, and self‑discovery, among other things. The entire cast is wonderful, but Michael Caine and Dianne Wiest were both singled out for an Academy Award. Woody himself provides comic relief as Hannah's hypochondriac ex-husband.
