In 2047, a rescue ship locates the Event Horizon, a starship that vanished seven years earlier. Once aboard the vessel, the crew discovers disturbing recordings and begins to suffer violent hallucinations. This clunky and highly unoriginal science fiction horror film offers a mix of Alien and Solaris. It’s another clichéd story where crew members die one by one, but at least this time the evil feeds on the guilt and fear of the crew. The film was edited in a rush to meet a release deadline, and it shows. Rarely have I seen so many literal sparks on screen.
