This gripping and visually impressive morality play is reminiscent of The Firm. Ambitious young lawyer joins a prestigious New York law firm, only to discover that his charismatic boss is the Devil in disguise. As his career soars, he realises that his success comes at a horrifying cost. Al Pacino gives an entertaining but typically shouty 90s performance, but Charlize Theron is a revelation in her breakthrough role. Based on Andrew Neiderman's 1990 novel.
