Through personal ads, a bored housewife named Roberta becomes fascinated with Susan, a mysterious and free-spirited young woman. Due to mistaken identity and temporary amnesia, Roberta ends on a wild adventure in New York City. Susan Seidelman's breezy romantically flavoured caper comedy came out the same year as After Hours and Into the Night. These entertaining films all feature a jaded protagonist who has a transformative experience outside their comfort zone. The performances are natural and relaxed.
