Danny Noonan, a teenage caddie at the Bushwood Country Club, hopes to win a scholarship that will help him attend college, but finds himself caught between feuding club members. Harold Ramis' directorial debut has become a cult favourite. This farcical sports comedy remains likeable, although much of its humour has not aged well. Bill Murray memorably plays an eccentric greenskeeper who wages a hopeless battle against a destructive gopher. Followed by a 1988 sequel.
