When her husband and six-year-old son are killed in a bomb attack, Katja's life falls apart. As she struggles with her grief, the investigation identifies a young neo-Nazi couple as the perpetrators. Fatih Akin heartbreaking drama was loosely inspired by the 2004 Cologne bombing. It tells a moving story, but slightly struggles with its clunky three-part structure: the tragedy and the aftermath, the court case, and the quest for justice. Diane Kruger carries the film with her intense performance, in German for a change.
