Ghost Dog is a secretive professional assassin who lives according to an ancient code of honour. When his employers decide he has become a liability, he must stand his ground. Jim Jarmusch' laid-back, philosophical crime drama was clearly influenced by Jean-Pierre Melville's Le Samouraï, but it still works as its own film. Forest Whitaker gives a memorable lead performance as the pigeon-loving killer.
