After the death of their mother, Nora and Agnes confront their estranged father Gustav, a once-prominent film director who wants to shoot his comeback film, inspired by his mother’s tragic life, in the family's home, with Nora in the lead. Joachim Trier's follow-up to The Worst Person in the World is another wonderful contemporary drama, this time about family, artistic expression, and shared trauma. The performances are terrific all around, and the house plays a moving role in the story as well. An Academy Award winner for best international feature film.
