Baby Jane Hudson was a child star, while her sister Blanche became a celebrated actress until a mysterious accident left her confined to a wheelchair. Years later, the sisters live together in a decaying Hollywood mansion. Robert Aldrich's psychological horror film is like a fusion of Sunset Boulevard, Psycho, and Rear Window. The film deals with jealousy, resentment, alcoholism, and mental instability, and features great performances from Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. However, the story stretches credibility at several points and the big reveal at the end is laughable. Based on Henry Farrell's 1960 novel.
