In 1999, a cursed wind-up monkey toy devastated the family of twin brothers Hal and Bill, and now it resurfaces twenty-five years later. Osgood Perkins' follow-up to Longlegs is a dark horror comedy which features enjoyably over-the-top gore. However, its central conceit borrows heavily from Final Destination, offering little more than a string of freaky, inventive deaths that you know will never stop. The characters are flat and uninteresting. Based on Stephen King’s 1980 short story.
