Baron, a simple-minded young man, promises his cellmate $250,000 if he helps him escape. Before the plan unfolds, he recounts his life—caring for his terminally ill mother and meeting the free-spirited Marmalade, who persuades him to rob a bank. Keir O’Donnell's directorial debut is an abysmal romantic caper comedy that borrows more than a little from The Usual Suspects. There is a major twist, but before it arrives, we must sit through a dull, unfunny hour dominated by Marmalade, one of the most grating and insufferable characters to appear on screen in a long time.
