In 1985, Los Angeles is terrorised by a series of brutal murders. Just as adult film star Maxine Minx lands her first legitimate acting role, she is approached by a private eye digging into her shadowy past. In the final part of Ti West's trilogy, the gruesome events of X come back to haunt Maxine, but this horror movie about the dark underbelly of Hollywood delivers plenty of its own gore. Following Pearl, Mia Goth gives another strong performance. The script, however, is a bit messy and aimless.
