Chloé Zhao's second feature is an intimate and powerful drama. It was beautifully shot on a shoestring budget and it features solely non-professional actors playing fictionalised versions of themselves. Pretty much everything on the screen is authentic, and you can feel it. Brady Jandreau gives a very impressive and understated lead performance.
