A young and jobless wannabe writer kills time by following strangers on the streets of London. He is spotted by a man who introduces him to the world of burglary. Christopher Nolan's black and white feature debut bears the hallmark of his best known works, namely non-linear storytelling and intricate plot twists. This low-budget 70-minute film is impressive but not earth-shattering.
