During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, small investors, led by YouTuber Keith Gill, start buying GameStop stock in huge numbers, hoping to drive up its value and challenge wealthy hedge funds that were betting against the stock. 2023 was clearly the year of the buyopics, stories about real-life business endeavours. We've had Air, BlackBerry, and Tetris. This dark comedy is the least captivating and relatable one of the bunch. It has an impressive cast but most of them play uninteresting and vaguely outlined characters who are looking for quick riches.
