In the summer of 1980, Patu moves from Helsinki to Joensuu and ends up as the manager and lyricist of a promising punk band called Kalle Päätalo. As the band chase their dream, Patu must learn to be truthful to his new friends. Perttu Leppä's nostalgic and probably autobiographical coming-of-age story captures the optimism and awkwardness of growing up, as well as the inevitable and often humiliating experiments with sex and alcohol. The film offers a delightful mix of humour, romance, and music. Pauli Hanhiniemi wrote the band's songs.
