A grumpy retired sailor, who lives alone in a remote Irish village, finds unexpected companionship with his new housekeeper. This doesn't sit well with his daughter, who has always been distant from her elderly father. Klaus Härö's first work in English is a compelling and understated romantic drama. The script by Jimmy Karlsson and Kirsi Vikman convincingly explores difficult and complicated family dynamics. The locations are stunning and the performances are terrific.
