Alessia Zecchini is a driven Italian freediver who aims to break the world record. Stephen Keenan is a fearless Irishman who finds his calling as a safety diver. McGann's film, which kicks off with a breathtaking opening scene, introduces a free diving community, who are willing to take insane risks for personal fulfilment. It is clear from the start that the story will not have a happy ending, but the way it all unfolds feels extremely manipulative.
