A passionate young couple, Sailor and Lula, travel across the American South to escape Lula’s controlling mother, who hires a gangster to kill Sailor. David Lynch's romantic crime thriller delivers a surreal and violent journey filled with eccentric characters and a memorable soundtrack. The film may occasionally border on the wrong side of wacky, but it is certainly entertaining and unpredictable. Based on Barry Gifford's 1989 novel.
