Two misfits join the U.S. Army to change the course of their lives, but instead they turn basic training into a series of comedic misadventures. Although some of its humour hasn't dated well, this military comedy features an incredible cast, many of them in their early roles. The first two thirds of it are quite enjoyable, but the climactic gung-ho mission behind enemy lines seems like from a different film entirely.
