As the Bride attempts to eliminate the remaining three people on her hit list, we learn how she was trained and why the other members of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad turned against her. The second volume of Quentin Tarantino's revenge saga has Western vibes, and it is less action-packed and more character-driven than Vol. 1. Once again, there are some terrific set pieces (the coffin scene and the showdown between the Bride and Elle Driver are the standouts), but also several gratuitous sequences and too many pedestrian moments. It seems every time Bill enters the screen, the movie slows down to a glacial pace. However, the use of music is as brilliant as we've come to expect from Tarantino. As far as the entire Kill Bill movie is concerned, it's a 90 minute B movie stretched into a self-important four hour epic.
