Andy Stitzer is a kind, nerdy, and socially awkward 40-year-old who has never had a romantic relationship. As his colleagues are determined to help him lose his cherry, Andy is drawn to Trish, a single mother of three. In his directorial debut, Judd Apatow establishes the formula for many of his future works, or anything starring Seth Rogen, for that matter. There is a group of immature, foul-mouthed, and relentlessly horny grown-up men whose lives revolve around drinking, taking drugs, and treating women like trash. In the final fifteen minutes, they realise the error of their ways. Steve Carell and Catherine Keener give likeable performances, but I didn't find this comedy funny at all. However, it is not as overlong as Apatow's other films.
